Whidbey island weddings reviews

As we started our wedding venue search, we stumbled across the Whidbey Island Weddings website and instantly fell in love with The Wayfarer venue upon seeing pictures. We were immediately drawn to the white washed barn for the ceremony (you have the choice between an indoor and outdoor ceremony) and the extra-long dinner table under the trees. We set up an appointment with Kelly to visit the venue, and we are sure glad we did! My wife and I got married at The Wayfarer on June 24th, 2017, and it was truly a dream come true. We opted to hold the ceremony inside the barn, which was intimate, cozy, and exactly what we envisioned from day one. It happened to be a hot summer day (miraculously given the unpredictable weather), and Kelly’s team provided our guests with fans to keep cool before the ceremony. Kelly, Erica, and the team created the flower arrangements and did such a beautiful job – our wedding was filled with white and peach/blush colored roses and peonies, and my wife got what she is affectionately calls her “dream bouquet”. The table arrangements were so thoughtfully done and the details around the venue tied everything together. These details gave us the rustic yet elegant vibe we had dreamt of. We extend a big thanks to Erica for capturing our vision perfectly! The long dinner table we had fallen in love with was nothing short of amazing. Sharing dinner with our closest family and friends was so special, and the table arrangements under the greenery and chandeliers were magical. During the reception, there were a lot of activities available for guests – they enjoyed dancing under the string lights, playing lawn games, toasting s’mores over the fire pit, and ending the night with a sparkler sendoff. Everyone had an amazing time, including us! Looking back, we truly could not have asked for a more perfect day, in large part thanks to the gorgeous venue, as well as Kelly and her wonderful team. Throughout the wedding planning process, it was our pleasure to work with such a professional and organized team. They coordinated with our vendors (photographer and caterer), listened to our preferences, and were very responsive to all the questions we had (there were a lot!). On our wedding day, Kelly and her team were there each step of the way and ensured that everything ran smoothly. One of the team members (Jay) was incredibly respectful and polite, going above and beyond in his duties to take care of our guests. Our bartender (Carrie) was super fun and engaging. We are grateful for such a memorable and special day at The Wayfarer, and we highly recommend checking out Whidbey Island Weddings if you’re looking for a beautiful venue space and wonderful team!

They did an amazing joy of setting up and running my special day. Kelly and her team are willing to go above and beyond and ensure it gets done right the first time. My guests thought the venue was beautiful and most wanted to stay an extra night to enjoy the beauty of the island. This was a great venue if a farm wedding is what you are looking for!!!

My husband and I got married at Crockett Farm this past weekend, and we had a fantastic experience working with Kelly and her team. Leading up to the wedding, they were super helpful in providing resources on the island for lodging, transportation, etc. After all the work of planning, it felt so good to hand things over to them in the days leading up to the wedding, and they absolutely did not disappoint. Our wedding venue looked incredible - the flowers were exactly what we wanted and were beautiful. During the day, our coordinator was calm and collected, and put us completely at ease. The team did a great job of checking in with us to see what we needed all day long, which we really appreciated. Everything went off without a hitch, and we were really able to be present with our guests and one another. I can’t thank Kelly and her team enough! I am so glad we decided to get married at Crockett Farm!

Working with Kelly was a great experience and she and her team made sure everything went smoothly the day of. We didn’t have to worry about a thing (which after all of the work involved in planning a wedding was a huge relief!). Every detail was beautiful, especially all of the flowers (which Kelly and her team did as well). I loved my bouquet and it looks gorgeous in all of our wedding photos. We had two coordinators (Marriah and Sarah) and two bartenders (Cesar and Nick) from Kelly’s team who went above and beyond during the event. They were so service-oriented (our guests commented about how sweet they all were), positive, organized and fun. Kelly also had great recommendations for other vendors on the island for catering, makeup, etc. We are so glad we went with Crockett Farm for the beautiful setting, the high level of professionalism, and the attention to detail that made our big day better than we ever could have imagined. I am so grateful to them for ensuring we could relax, celebrate, and enjoy every moment.

Our daughter and new son-in-law got married at Crockett Farms on Whidbey Island on May 28, 2017. We cannot say enough good things about this whole experience. From the first day we looked at the venue and our daughter and (then) fiance fell in love with it, to the end of the wedding day, we were impressed by the beauty and peacefulness of the venue and the professionalism and kindness of Kelly (the venue coordinator). We were fortunate to have had a beautiful weather day, but we were confident that an indoor alternative was available, if needed. That gave us a chance to relax and enjoy the planning phase. As the planning went along, I emailed and texted Kelly a number of times with questions and she answered immediately. She never made me feel that I was inconveniencing her even though it was often on a weekend that I contacted her. Her assistant Erica was, also, very responsive via email. Kelly and Erica did a wonderful job orchestrating the rehearsal the afternoon before the wedding. On the wedding day, I was confident that all was going to be taken care of so I was able to spend the day with my daughter and her attendants and my husband was able to relax a bit (as much as a father can at his only daughters’ wedding) and enjoy the pictures the photographer took of him seeing his daughter for the first time in her wedding dress instead of worrying about details. We loved being able to stay on the venue at the historic Crockett House with our immediate family the weekend of the wedding. It was a great place for the bride and her bridesmaids to get ready, also. Kelly and Erica took care of all the flowers, also, from the bridal bouquet down to the boutonnieres. Kelly talked to our daughter in the months before the wedding and made sure the flowers were what our daughter requested and they were beautiful and bountiful! Flowers were everywhere! On the dinner tables, at the entrance to the venue, and everywhere you looked! We brought flowers to decorate the arbor but not everyone wants the beautiful driftwood arbor decorated so that was our preference. We have heard nothing but rave reviews from our family and guests about the wedding and how much fun everyone had and the beauty of the venue. But, most importantly, the wedding was everything that our daughter and son-in-law dreamt it would be. We can’t thank Kelly and crew enough for a wonderful day!!

We were married on September 24th, 2016 at Crockett Farm, one of three venues run by Whidbey Island Weddings. Kelly, Erica, and the whole team were INCREDIBLE. Our entire day felt truly magical. We could not have asked for, nor dreamed of, a better experience. The flower design was gorgeous, the table arrangements were beautiful, and our ceremony space at the driftwood altar on site was absolutely stunning. Every element was perfectly coordinated, and I was able to spend a stress-free morning with my bridesmaids, enjoying the beautiful fall day at the historic Crockett Bed & Breakfast (another perk, just a stone’s throw from the venue). Truly, we had the experience of a lifetime. And Kelly and Erica are so nice! Even when I felt like I was being an intolerable diva bride, they assured me that it was okay to be picky and tried to accommodate every request leading up to the wedding. Such a class act—I was so impressed by the service, the attention to detail, and their ability to cultivate an aesthetic that perfectly matched my vision for the day. If I could give them more stars, I would do it in a heartbeat. Whidbey Island Weddings will take care of you—if you are looking to get married on Whidbey, look no further. It’s worth every penny. We felt our wedding was the lovely, romantic, elegant event we’d been planning, all thanks to the hard work from the team at Whidbey Island Weddings. So much love.

We just had our wedding at The Wayfarer and it was truly my fairy tale dream wedding come true. I found the venue on Instagram and immediately fell madly in love with the long table. I figured it was some really out-of-my-reach venue that was booked 3 years in advance, but I was thrilled with the location on Whidbey Island and the availability for me to pick from. We got the last available Saturday of the year, and there were some Friday and Sunday dates open, too. The overall vibe of the venue is exactly what I wanted, but Kelly was able to take the look and feel, decor and amenities to the next level. Her eye for design, her taste, and her inventory of to-die-for accessories really make everything top notch. She pays attention to every possible detail, and the guests kept commenting on how it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to. Kelly is so organized and her venue team make the event run so seamlessly. She’s so generous with her time during the planning process, and I am blown away at her floral skills. I didn’t know exactly what I wanted, so I gave her some loose guidance and she created the most beautiful floral arrangements and bouquets I have ever seen. At first I was worried that the venue was more expensive than others, but I realized in the end it’s actually not. So much is included in the rental, and Kelly and her team enabled me to be the most relaxed bride possible - both during the planning process and on the day of. I was able to fully relax and enjoy the day without worrying about any detail. This is the most beautiful and unique venue, and I absolutely hands down recommend you snap it up and book it. You won’t regret it! Thank you, Kelly and team! You made our dreams come true!

We had the best time at our wedding at Crockett Farm. Kelly and Erica did an amazing job styling the wedding! They also made the most beautiful bouquets. Everything turned out perfect - I couldn’t have asked for a more easy and fun day!

We had our wedding in June at the Crockett Barn in Coupeville and everything went smoothly and was orchestrated perfectly! Our coordinator, Kelly, and her staff did a fantastic job from the first day we met to see the venue! They were on top of it!!! Helpful, proactive and totally thorough! It made planning/hosting our wedding a total breeze! I can’t say thank you enough for our beautiful day! We and our guests had a freaking BLAST! And it was absolutely stunning!!! Totally worth it!!!

We honestly could not have had a more magical wedding day than July 11, 2015 at Jenne Farm in Coupeville, WA. Tony and I definitely had a vision for our wedding, but it was really the hard work and amazingness of Kelly and Erica who pulled everything together for us. We are so thankful for their communication, flexibility and guidance in helping us create the most wonderful day. We chose Jenne Farm due to its family-reunion meets wedding feel in addition to having access to a fabulous collection of decor goods that Kelly has been collecting over the years. In the end, everything turned out just perfectly and our guests continue to tell us that it was one of the best weddings that they have ever been to, even months later. Thank you so much Kelly and Erica! We couldn’t have done it without you and we will miss working with you both!

After literally years of looking for the right venue, we were about to elope when I spent one last weekend scouring the Internet for the perfect place to have our wedding - that’s when I found the Wayfarer! I’m so happy I found it because it really was the perfect venue on every level! The farm is a gorgeous setting and there are so many different beautiful areas for your guests to enjoy. We got married in the whitewashed barn, which was beautiful and intimate. The lawn games and the fire pits with s’mores were a big hit. And it was truly magical to have all of our loved ones dine at one long beautiful table under a canopy of trees by candlelight. Every one of our guests was able to relax and enjoy the venue throughout the entire day and into the night! Kelly is great - she is an experienced professional and has amazing recommendations for great Whidbey vendors and for how weddings work best at her farm. She will provide suggestions that are so helpful for every aspect of planning, including vendor selection, the “day of” timeline, bartenders, etc. She is also truly prepared for every scenario and is incredibly detail oriented, which is key for planning any big event. The morning of the wedding was cold and rainy and I was so anxious that my guests would be frozen and uncomfortable, but Kelly and Erica were prepared - they had heaters, blankets, hot cocoa and hot apple cider (which people LOVED)! Also, Kelly has impeccable taste and has carefully curated the perfect mix of vintage furniture, props, decor, vases, tableware, etc. for you to create a beautiful and customized backdrop for your special day. My guests kept saying they felt like they were on a movie set because everything was so perfect and beautiful. As a long-distance bride, Kelly was great to work with - she was available for calls and and very generous with her time. I had a very specific vision for my flowers and decor and Kelly and Erica executed my vision perfectly!! The farm was an even more beautiful version of what I had imagined. And the flowers were AMAZING! When Kelly handed me my bouquet, it literally took my breath away - it was an even more perfect and beautiful version of what I wanted. I am holding it in every picture because I would NOT put it down :). The Wayfarer team also created a perfect flower crown for me and a stunning tablescape of perfect dahlias. The ladies at the Wayfarer created the most gorgeous backdrop for us to have the celebration of a lifetime. It was all so special-thank you for being fabulous hosts!

We were married at the Wayfarer on July 13th of 2013 and it couldn’t have been at a more perfect location! Not only was the weather exceptional and lighting on the farm was ideal for our photographers, but the wedding went flawlessly from pre-ceremony to when we shut down the lights. Kelly and her team are incredible, from just shopping the event to booking it and the entire process of our engagement leading up to our big day, Kelly was hands-on and attentive to every single detail. I might have been the most relaxed bride on my wedding day because I knew I was in good keep. We are going to be featured in the January issue of Seattle Bride magazine so even the professionals thought it was something to note! We loved the Wayfarer and will recommend it to anyone looking for a fantastic venue and company to work with!

We were married at the Wayfarer on June 29, 2013. It was more than we could have imagined or asked for!! We still talk about how incredible our experience was and how magical the day was! Kelly and Erica are fabulous! They are so professional and amazing at what they do! Every detail was attended to. Our guests are still talking about what an incredible day it was and how they felt like they were in a fairytale. :) We truly could not have asked for a better experience and a more beautiful place to have our wedding. It really was a dream come true!

Kelly and her team helped create the perfect wedding for us. From the setting, to the decor, to the flowers, and service...it was a perfect day because of the Wayfarer. No one wanted the day to end. Thanks so much, Wayfarer!

Kelly and crew did such a fantastic job hosting our son and daughter-in-law’s wedding. They are great at multi-tasking and were on top of everything. Many family and friends said it was the best wedding they had ever been to. I won’t argue that! It certainly was the most beautiful bride to ever grace their grounds! The groom wasn’t too bad either! The site is absolutely beautiful and all the many quaint touches made it so relaxing and enjoyable to be there. We received the most comments on the wonderful table. Everyone thought it was unbelievable! How sweet it was to personalize the place setting for the bride and groom by embroidering their name on the fabric. I have already recommended Wayfarer Farm to several friends. Thanks again Kelly and crew. You helped make it a “wedding to remember

My daughter and her new husband were married at Wayfarer Farm in July 2012. We are from Wisconsin and his family from Louisiana, so many guests traveled a great distance for the wedding. Whidbey Island was a perfect destination for all. Everyone is still raving about this unique and beautiful ceremony and reception. The farm is a natural and picturesque setting, but it is Kelly’s attention to detail that made the event personal and unforgettable. The long farm table with mismatched place settings, lace tablerunner, and flowers in various vintage containers all under a green canopy of trees made dinner both elegant and intimate. Kelly’s creativity, efficiency, and calm nature made this wedding absolutely a dream come true.

We were here July 21, 2012, for our son’s wedding. It was a perfect day and a perfect setting for a beautiful wedding. Everything was relaxed and fun and so enjoyable. It was like getting married on your grandparent’s farm with family and friends. I know my new daughter-in-law put in many hours to make this day so special, but also many thanks to Kelly, too, for all she did to make this day memorable and wonderful.
— Susan
The instant I saw this venue I fell in love with it and knew it was THE place for us to get married—it was perfect in every way! The details were amazing and so perfect—all the photography had something special in each shot. Kelly and her team were an absolute pleasure to work with and made sure the day went flawlessly. The flowers were incredible and were exactly what I imagined. I heard many of our guests say that it was the best wedding they had ever been to, and others say that either they wanted to get married there or wish that they had! What a compliment! We even had guests that talked about creating their own “vintage farm wedding venue” in the town where they live because they thought it was so amazing and unique. I would do it all over in an instant and would highly recommend this site for a wedding. Kelly and her team made our most important day the best day ever!!! We cannot thank them enough!

Joel and I were married at the Whidbey Wayfarer farm in August of 2011. We first came to the farm in the fall of 2010 and knew instantly that it was where we wanted to celebrate our wedding. We fell in love with the ambiance and style of the farm - the chandeliers hanging from the trees, the string lights draped near the white-washed barns, the miss-matched chairs and china set up on the farm tables, and the gorgeous orchard. The beauty of the farm was apparent from the first time we saw it, and planning the wedding was quite simple since we utilized the charm the farm had to offer. It really is all the details that make the Wayfarer such a unique setting. The collection of vintage props we had to choose from is astonishing - frames and mirrors, bicycles, record players playing our favorite songs, typewriters, and the turquoise pick-up truck which we used for our photo shoot. Our guests played croquet in the field while sipping Mojitos. It was perfect. When it came to the actually planning of the day Kelly, the farm owner and planner, was wonderful. Joel and I wanted to keep things simple, but wanted every detail to be beautiful and unique. We wanted our guests to feel at ease and be able to enjoy the celebration. We have always loved Whidbey Island for its whimsical feel and the organic way of living. We wanted everything at our event to be locally sourced, and Kelly’s contacts with vendors on the Island made that quite easy. She helped arrange it all - our organic caterer, the locally made beer, and we were lucky enough to hand pick our flowers. She even put the bouquets together! She loves what she does and it shows in the final result - a beautiful, romantic, elegant, perfect wedding. Not a detail went unplanned so on our actual wedding day we could just relax and have fun. Thank you to Rich and Kelly for sharing your beautiful farm with our friends and family. We will forever have the memories of the most magical wedding at the Wayfarer.

What a beautiful setting! The dinner set up could not have been better- beautiful homemade tables and very classy decor. Amazing!
— Kelsey
We had our small wedding here in August. Kelly’s space is beautiful and she was wonderful to work with! It was perfect for an intimate wedding and also a great way to show out-of-town guests how beautiful the northwest is.

This is our first Christmas as a married couple, and we’re putting together wedding albums for our parents. Our photos still resemble a fairy tale more than real life. I give my wife a lot of the credit, but Kelly and Company took care of every imaginable detail from local flowers to vintage china. Our day was pure magic. We’ve heard the words “best wedding ever” from several of our married friends, and we know it’s true every time we look at the pictures. -Andre and Leslie Vriesman, Seattle
