About Whidbey Island Weddings

Kelly moved to Whidbey Island over 18 years ago after spending several years living in Seattle. Seeking a quieter, more simple life, she searched for the right place to call home and found that in a historic 1913 farmhouse set on five acres in beautiful Bayview Valley.

After her daughter was born, Kelly wanted a job that allowed her to both be at home and have a fun and creative outlet. With Kelly’s background in marketing and event planning she realized that her farm could be the scene for some amazing weddings. And so, The Wayfarer and Whidbey Island Weddings was born.

Kelly began hosting weddings the summer of 2011. Many years and many weddings later, what she and her experienced team love most about their job hasn’t changed. They love to partner with couples to build a wedding that is as beautiful and unique as each couple is. From the quiet early mornings when the team begins setting up, to the ceremony through to dinner, celebratory dancing and the bride & groom’s sendoff, they love to help it all unfold in the way that best reflects each couple.

It’s always their goal to be hands-on without being seen. From the first meeting through to cleaning up after the party is over Kelly and the entire Whidbey Island Weddings team pride themselves on making your day smooth and happy. Your day is not about them. It’s about how they can help you make it yours.

They can’t wait to tell your story.
