 the wayfarer on Whidbey Island

Located in the historic Bayview (Langley) area of South Whidbey Island (approx. 45 min from Seattle), the 100+ year-old Wayfarer Farm hosts elegant events for up to 100 guests. The farm features open, rolling grounds, orchard, and has two barns to accomodate your guests. One whitewashed and bright for a possible intimate ceremony or reception. The other barn, complete with an exposed beam ceiling, antique bar and indoor/outdoor space is perfect for cocktail hour and dancing.


The most we can accommodate at the Wayfarer is 100 guests, we host weddings at the Wayfarer from beginning of June to mid September, and it is for a full day (Friday, Saturday or Sunday).

Our package at the Wayfarer includes all set up, break down, wedding coordination, day of coordinator with a team! Farm tables, chairs, and tents are also included. 

We like our couples to relax on their special day and let us take care of all the hard work!

The farm is 5 acres of open rolling grass with an old growth orchard, which makes an incredible natural canopy of trees for our farm tables to go under for the reception.  The farm is over 100 years old, so the landscaping is very mature.  Lots of really big trees and different garden areas, so there are plenty of sites for a beautiful ceremony.  There is a bridal cottage on the grounds.  Also, there is small grooms cabin to get ready in at the farm as well.

There is an indoor space (white-washed barn) for an intimate ceremony or an outdoor ceremony site (under cherry and apple trees) and an additional indoor/outdoor space (separate barn) for cocktail hour which has a bar inside of it.  The 2023 rate for a full day is $6500 plus tax on Fridays and Sundays and $8000 plus tax for a Saturday. The most the farm can accommodate is 100 guests.  

Fee includes:

Access to the Wayfarer farm grounds (5 park-like acres) from 12:00pm-10:00pm

•Access to the Wayfarer for coordinated rehearsal 

•Getting ready cottage

•2nd getting ready cabin

•Wedding coordination to include: wedding coordinator and day of coordinator and team for coordination of all vendors involved in event such as caterer, photographer, cake, etc.

•Coordination and overall styling of wedding (set up + breakdown of event, collection of cards and gifts, ceremony site, guest sign in area, cocktail area, beverage table, lawn games)

•Day-of coordination from vendor arrival and first look to overseeing ceremony, reception to departure of bride and groom.

•Farm tables (custom made, for dinner)

•Wood chairs to go with farm tables 

•Chandeliers with candles hung above farm tables

•Wood folding chairs for ceremony

•Bistro chairs and tables set up through out farm 

•iPod ready speakers for dance floor, cocktail barn and ceremony barn

•iPod portable speaker for toasts

•String lights over the dance floor 

•Lawn games (bocce, bean bag toss, ladder golf and giant Jenga)

•Tents 

•Outdoor heaters 

•Fire pit + wood 

•Adirondack chairs

•All set-up/break-down of the farm (including all tables and chairs, guest sign in area, etc. and general clean-up)

•Parking (parking provided for approximately 20 vehicles) Optional shuttle service available for additional cost. 

•Restrooms

•Dedicated staff for day of to ensure everything runs as planned!

Here are a few more details:

-You must have a licensed professional caterer, we prefer to work with caterers who are familiar with the farm, we provide a preferred vendor list once our couples book, but we are open to food trucks, etc. please check with us first before booking

-You must have a licensed bartender $550 (provided by us, not included in the venue fee), you can bring in your own alcohol

-You must have a banquet permit ($10), there is NO corkage fee

-You must have liabiliy insurance (you can purchase it throughwww.wedsafe.com) about $175

-Use of our mismatched or white china is an additional fee.

-Floral package is an additional fee.

-We are not allowed live amplified music or a DJ at this farm, but we have a great sound system for a playlist. 

-There is a noise ordinance in Island County at 10:00pm all guests and vendors must be off venue by this time.
